Why are the years from
birth to 5 years old so important?
How does a child learn?
Where does learning begin?
Can parent and caregiver behaviors positively impact a child’s
IQ?
These are the kinds of questions that New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development (NDI) answers so that parents and caregivers can help children develop healthy brains!
The mission of New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development (NDI) is to provide parents and caregivers with training and tools to help every infant, toddler and pre-schooler develop a healthy brain and enter school ready to learn.

First Things First.

First Things First (FTF), approved by Arizona voters, works to ensure that our youngest children have access to quality early childhood experiences so they will start school healthy and ready to succeed. Across the state, FTF regional partnership councils - in collaboration with local leaders - identify the educational and health needs of children from birth through age 5 in thier communities and fund strategies to address those needs.
New Directions fully supports the work of EXPECT MORE ARIZONA. Take a few moments to notice how having high expectations is ‘translated’ into concrete programs and approaches. |
