Why are the years from birth to 5 years old so important?
How does a child learn?
Where does learning begin?
Can parent and caregiver behaviors positively impact a child’s IQ?

These are the kinds of questions that New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development (NDI) answers so that parents and caregivers can help children develop healthy brains!

As neuroscientists uncover new information about how the brain develops and learning occurs, NDI translates these findings into ways that caregivers can interact with children to increase their ability to pay attention, to be securely bonded with caregivers and to lay the foundations for language and literacy.  Greatest emphasis is on birth to three when 90 percent of brain development occurs.

The mission of New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development (NDI) is to provide parents and caregivers with training and tools to help every infant, toddler and pre-schooler develop a healthy brain and enter school ready to learn.
